Our Ministries
This page will give you an insight into the following ministries we offer: Elevate Students (6th-12th grade), Summit Kids (5th grade and below), our Laundry Ministry, our Thanksgiving Ministry, how we support our local schools, Operation Christmas Child, and our Chore Buddies ministry.
Elevate Students
Elevate Student Ministries is designed to equip students 6th-12th grade with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Everything that we do is central to the gospel (Romans 1:16). We equip our students through ENGAGING Bible-studies, INTENTIONAL discipleship, RELATIONAL service, and CHRIST-CENTERED worship. Partnering these principles with activities such as lock-ins and trips and also loving the students, we can accomplish our goal of equipping them with the gospel.
Summit Kids
Summit Kids is geared toward children 5th grade and below. From weekly ministries like our Kids Mission Experience, to Vacation Bible School and other full-blown events, Summit Kids is here to help your kids grow in their faith.
Laundry
During the months of January, March, May, July, September and November, our church goes to our local laundromat (Mity Tidy) and pays for the laundry of anyone who walks through the doors. We provide everything from quarters to detergent to snacks. We have a short video detailing some of the stories we’ve heard since this ministry started. Click the button below to hear those stories.
Thanksgiving
Every Thanksgiving, our church sponsors a free Thanksgiving meal for those in our community in need of one. On average, we provide around 700 meals! This is just another way that our church tells Dunlap that we love them.
Supporting Our Schools
We love our schools! We love to serve the school systems here at various times during the year. Some of those ministries include preparing meals for every teacher, administrator, and support staff at each of the schools. We also feed the SCHS Band on Friday nights before the football games. And we take part in Give A Kid A Chance where we donate spiral notebooks to go in the backpacks given out!
Operation Christmas Child
First Baptist acts as a drop off center for Operation Christmas Child. This amazing ministry is something that we love being part of. We pack shoeboxes to go across the globe to children in countries that we will never see. These simple gifts are the only gifts that some will ever get. Chore Buddies
Do you have some chores around your house that you need help with? This ministry is for you! We have a team of individuals that are ready and willing to help you with yard work, clean your gutters, fix that leaky faucet, or just help you around your house.
