Children’s Church |
First Baptist Church of Dunlap provides a special ministry for children
ages 3 years through 2nd grade. This ministry teaches children
about God’s love through storytelling, crafts and video. Children’s Church is
held during the Sunday morning 10:30 a.m. sermon. |

Vacation Bible School |
Every summer all children are invited to attend one of the area’s best
vacation bible schools. Every year a different themed VBS takes children on
an adventure of fun and learning about God’s love for them. All children ages 3 through 6th
grades are invited. |

|
Community Easter egg hunt |
Each year FBC sponsors a community Easter egg hunt for children up to 6th
grade. The egg hunt is graciously hosted by NHC on their facility
grounds. After the egg hunt attendees are
served refreshments in the dining area inside and out. All children in the community are invited
to this event. |

|
Fall Carnival/Trunk or Treat |
Every year around Halloween, the churches hosts an annual trunk or treat
which features games, face painting, balloon art, blowup slides and lots of
fun. Attendees are treated to
refreshments such as popcorn, cookies, and of course, lots of candy. The community is always invited. |

FBC Weekly Morning Worship Broadcast |
First Baptist Church’s morning worship service broadcasts are played on
WSDQ 1190 AM on Sundays at 11:30 a.m. The services broadcast are from the prior
week’s morning worship. Tune in and
listen to FBC’s weekly message. |

|
Community Food Pantry Supporter |
As a member church
of the Sequatchie County Fellowship of Churches Food Bank, Dunlap First
Baptist Church is concerned about the nutritional needs of the
community. Dunlap First Baptist
Church provided the pantry for over 10 years before moving it to the old
middle school building located on Heard Street. Food is distributed there on Tuesdays and
Thursdays from 9-12 a.m. for those in need. |

Women’s Fellowship Group |
This women’s group comes together each month for a time of devotion and
camaraderie. The group meets every 2nd Tuesday of the month at the
Bouffant Beauty Salon annex to learn more about missions or engage in themed
bible studies. |

|
Busy Bees |
This women’s group is proactive in helping in the local community and
those in need. They buy groceries for
the community food pantry hosted by First Baptist Church of Dunlap and stock
the shelves. They also help clothe
needy children, provide needs for nursing home residents, provide needs for
jailed inmates and donate monies for Exceptional Enterprises among other
activities. This group meets every 1st
Monday of the month. |

Story Hour |
This loving ministry consists of women who dedicate their time,
imagination and experience to reading or sharing stories of the days of the
past to local nursing home residents. This group meets every 3rd
Wednesday of the month. |
